Providence Express Care at Home is a new, convenient service that sends Providence Saint John's medical providers to your home, office or hotel for a same-day visit. Once there, the provider can offer a diagnosis, treatment and prescription. This visit may take the place of an urgent care or primary care visit.
The introductory price for a Providence Express Care at Home house call is $199 per patient seen or the cost of your copay or coinsurance for this visit, determined by your insurance plan. That price includes a physical exam, diagnosis and prescription if needed. The pharmacy may charge an additional cost for medication. Lab tests are also priced separately.
Your credit card info will be obtained prior to requesting the home visit. We will place a hold on your card until the visit is complete. If you cancel the request before the provider arrives, you will not be charged.
Service is currently available in the following communities: Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Westwood, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Playa Vista, Culver Garden, Venice, Pacific Palisades, and Marina Del Rey.
We accept most commercial insurance plans and Medicare.
Payment is due at the time of your visit. Please note that you are responsible for any outstanding amount not covered by your plan. If you have questions, please call 844-414-9000. Due to federal and state regulations, Providence Express Care at Home is not allowed to provide service to patients covered by Medicaid.
The Providence Express Care at Home app is currently supported on iOS and Android. The app works on iPhone 5/5C/5S and iPhone 6/6 Plus running iOS 7 or higher and on most Android devices running version 4.4 or higher (KitKat, Lollipop or Marshmallow).
Licensed and board-certified Providence Saint John's Medical Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) provide services for Providence Express Care at Home. All of our providers are Providence employees.
An advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) is a registered nurse who completes either a master’s or doctoral degree program. They receive advanced clinical training beyond that of a registered nurse.
Providers may be able to do basic testing based on your symptoms. However, we do not do blood work, additional lab work or X-rays. Your caregiver will provide you a referral for any additional services you require.
